UNIDO Presented the Tourism 4.0 Montenegro Project at MWC Shanghai 2026 and Beijing GDEC

Representatives of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) promoted the project Provision of Digital Technologies Fostering Tourism 4.0 and Technological Learning in Montenegro during international digital innovation events in China, including MWC Shanghai 2026, held from 24–26 June, as well as activities associated with the Global Digital Economy Conference (GDEC) Beijing. These internationally recognised events bring together technology leaders, policymakers, international organisations, and innovators to showcase the latest advances in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, smart cities, and the digital economy.

Building on Slovenia's Tourism 4.0 experience, the project supports Montenegro's tourism sector through knowledge transfer, capacity building, and the implementation of innovative digital technologies that enhance cultural heritage interpretation and visitor experiences.
